Morgan Hunter Healthcare is seeking a talented Oracle/Cerner CCL Report Writer and Data Extraction Specialist_ to join our team. Primary responsibilities include assisting our clients in support of their Health Information System(s) projects.
Candidate must possess the following technical skills and expertise:
Five or more years work experience working with Cerner Millennium
Ability to develop reports using Data Analytics 2 (DA2).
Clear and effective communication (oral and written), highly organized with the ability to prioritize
Ability to manage multiple tasks within complex systems
Ability to work on a flexible schedule and/or irregular hours when needed
Ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team
Additionally, ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle/Cerner system build and implementation;be skilled in Clinical Informatics with an emphasis in data analysis, database architecture and workflow;and will have extensive experience with Cerner Millennium database structure and understand a variety of reporting tools. Experience in Data Analytics 2 reporting tool. Knowledge of PowerInsight is a plus.

Responsibilities include: The Report Writer and Data Extract Specialist will:
Assess Cerner financial standard reports to determine which can be used based on current reporting requirements.
Write new reports to:
Replace existing reports from the legacy patient accounting system
Satisfy new report requests as a result of the new revenue cycle system implementation.
Write new data extracts and output files to to/from third party systems to the new patient accounting system.
Understand data structure modeling and apply that knowledge to generate solutions.
Work with technical, business and clinical staff to review and prioritize incoming requests.
Additionally, the Report Writer and Data Extract Specialist must:
Interact with operational end users to understand requests and how they will be utilized in operational workflow to ensure alignment with goals and within HIPAA guidelines.
Design, develop, test, debug and document complex reports, scripts and forms according to required specifications.
Ensure projects meet end user needs and are completed within established timeframes with minimal rework.
Participate in coordinating the transition from design implementation to production.
Track issues, resolve problems, and appropriately escalate issues to manager or vendor.
Serve as a resource for complex reporting or scripting needs and bring solutions to the forefront.
Accurately define project scopes, appropriately prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
