Morgan Hunter Healthcare is recruiting for a Redundant Enterprise Database Administrator.  This is a part-time 20 hours per week, remote position.

POSITION SUMMARY – The position is a supporting position as a redundant Enterprise Cerner Database Administrator.  Responsible for providing redundant after hours monitoring and support of the enterprise Cerner Database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - As a remote redundant Cerner Database Administrator, you will be responsible for providing redundant support and monitoring the existing database using SQL Server. The position as redundant DBA providing the support services along with database performance management, perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity management.  Triage and troubleshoot database alerts and issues, help identify root cause, and implement corrective action.  Monitor and maintain database replication, maintain database backups, and may be asked to apply database software updates and stand-alone hotfixes to environments. This position requires interaction with the existing DBA along with the support teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor' s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of Cerner database management work experience 
  • 2 years of experience in providing production database support
  • 2 years of experience in Cerner DBA SQL Server 
  • At least 3 years of hands on experience on System DBA tasks, TSQL Programming, High Availability, Performance Tuning, SQL Server Architecture

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive Cerner DBA experience
  • Master’ s in computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in TSQL Coding, PowerShell Scripting, Automation/Enhancements
  • 3+ years of Cerner database management work experience
  • Certification ITIL, SQL Server certifications

Expectations
  • 20 hours per week
  • On occasion may require additional hours to cover vacation and PTO.
  • 3-6 month REMOTE position.

Job Requirements
